Empowering Communities: Eight (8) years of Impact Through Online Coaching

It has been eight years since the inception of my online coaching class on community service and six years since the establishment of bckupmoidris.anl.org.ng. As at the time of this report, the platform has had a significant impact, reached over 150 youths and benefitted over 10,500 individuals through various projects initiated by my mentees across communities, primarily in rural areas across Nigeria.

These projects encompass a wide range of initiatives, including the installation of clean water boreholes, construction of public toilets, promotion of entrepreneurship, provision of school desks, and enhancement of educational facilities, medical interventions among others.

I am thrilled to share that five of my mentees have received governorship awards, while two have been honored with presidential awards during this period.

I find immense fulfillment in knowing that my efforts have positively impacted lives, despite never meeting many of the individuals in person, as our interactions are conducted virtually. Even amidst my demanding job, I dedicate an additional two hours to editing proposals, analyzing projects, and sourcing sponsorship for my mentees’ endeavors. The joy derived from these activities is immeasurable, which is why I continue to devote my time to this cause for over a decade without any financial compensation.
